So the day before Thanksgiving was Miss Lilly’s birthday! Yes I know I am extremely late in posting this and have been told about it!

Birthday girl 🎉

She wants everyone to know that she had a good birthday despite having to share treats with her little brother Oliver. She got a new sleepy blanket , treats and her own double-double.

Do I have to share these?

She has also graciously decided to forgive me for not writing this post sooner. Although more treats were needed to persuade her to do so.

New guy in town..

So, a few weeks ago this new little guy showed up at my house! I was not very impressed with the decision to bring him here but I was overruled. ( followed by comments like you’ll get used to him)

I’m not moving…

The little runt has taken up position directly in front of the food service area and refuses to move until fed. This also displeases me since this is actually my food service area! ( his is in the dining room!) However it has worked to my advantage occasionally by scoring us extra treats, mom is a sucker for two sad faces pups.

I’m just gonna nap here..

Whatever the case may be , I am told he is remaining permanently and I should try to be a good big sister. I have recently allowed him to play with me for a few brief moments, but I remain firm that he will not join me in my sleepy chair…that is off limits…no negotiation.

Dog days of summer..

It’s too hot to move mom..

So this is how I have been spending most of my summer in between torrential rainstorms with a few hailstorms mixed in. When it’s not raining it’s just too hot for a pup to get motivated.

My lounger for my back yard napping 😴

I do however venture occasionally from my front porch lounger to my back porch lounger just to mix things up a little. Hope everyone is having a good summer and staying safe out there!

A note to winter…

Dear Winter,

I was sort of ok with you around Christmas time so that the big guy in red could deliver my presents, however I think you may be overstaying your welcome. While you do make everything look pretty it’s hard for those of us with short leg issues to maneuver in you while taking care of business if you know what I mean… please return the sun to us and be on your way. I sort of look forward to seeing you next winter. Sincerely, Miss Lilly

So I decided to post my top nine pictures for 2020. As you can see it was good year for napping and spending time in the great outdoors. This year has been tough but we made it through!

Here’s to a great New Year! But I think I will keep my enhanced nap schedule going 😉

Naughty or nice?

So it’s getting seriously close to the time when Santa Paws will make an appearance…..now admittedly I may have stumbled across the naughty list a couple of times this year but I’m confident I am now firmly planted on the nice list.

Guess I better get moving on my letter to the North Pole, don’t want to take anymore chances!
