As usual mom is incredibly late in posting but we did have a celebration for the bestest girl turning 15!!
She celebrated with plenty of naps and enjoyed a special birthday meal.
She also received some delicious new treats which she had to share with her brother. This was all followed by pre- bedtime nap 😴 We are also happy to report that she still has plenty of attitude to spare and we wouldn’t have it any other way!! We love you Miss Lilly 🎉🎉🩷
First let us acknowledge that mom has totally dropped the ball for quite some time keeping out blog alive. (We tried to hire someone who actually knows what they are doing but don’t have enough money) ( mom says we don’t have any money just biscuits because we don’t have jobs) ( we consider holding the couch down and barking at everything very important jobs worth a lot of biscuits)
Anyhow…..since today is Oliver’s fourth birthday she figured she better put out a message. He was of course gifted several bags of treats and had beef short ribs with his dinner. Later we will have the celebratory birthday cookie.
He also chased a few flies outside and bugged the heck out of his sister to celebrate. Miss Lilly wants everyone to know she is doing well and is still annoyed by Oliver but puts up with him since he shares his treats with her.
Well that’s it for now….we will try to get mom to keep up more efficiently but can’t make any promises!!
So this year Miss Lilly’s birthday happened to fall on Thanksgiving. We did manage a proper celebration complete with presents, cake and singing 🎵
Her cake selection was summer beef sausage ( she is the world’s pickiest eater) which she happily ate and refused to share with her brother. He admired it from afar because he was scared of the candle 😂
Then came the presents which she decided she could share with Oliver after a little convincing by Mom.
All in all she had a very nice and relaxing birthday, just like any basset hound would appreciate! Although it is hard to believe she is 13 already, seems like just yesterday she was a young pup. Here’s to another 13 !!! ❤️❤️❤️
So Halloween has come and gone….unfortunately mom found costumes for us again and tricked us into putting them on.
Fortunately the night was mostly uneventful, but it was mighty chilly! Luckily mom redeemed herself after making us wear costumes by making us cookies.

So Mr. Oliver turned 2 over the weekend! (We kept on mom about posting before next year 😂) He enjoyed a big day with presents, treats, special birthday dinner followed by dessert.
So all in all he had a pretty good day. We also went for a walk after the festivities and he managed to get into something stinky. So he also enjoyed a wash on his birthday! Although he would argue that it was definitely not the most enjoyable part of the day.
He spent the next day mostly napping and mom is pretty sure he is also going through the terrible twos just like a toddler! We still love him to bits and are very glad he’s with us ❤️ ( although Lilly maybe not as much 😂)

Sorry we haven’t posted in so long but mom has been keeping us pretty busy this summer! Between the heat waves and the rain we managed to fit in some cookouts, walks and lounging in the sun! Hope everyone had a great summer …we will be getting ready for Oliver’s second birthday soon!

Santa Paws was able to brave the extreme cold and safely made it to our house!!
We had lots of fun playing with our new toys and eating lots of treats!! We were only allowed out for very short potty breaks and we had to bundle up!
We were concerned that with the extreme cold and wind Santa might not make it but Mom said he would. For once she was right! After lots of playing eating and napping mom had to embarrass us with some pictures. She said we were the cutest presents ever.
We agree with her about that one! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and keep staying warm!! 🎄❤️
So the day before Thanksgiving was Miss Lilly’s birthday! Yes I know I am extremely late in posting this and have been told about it!
She wants everyone to know that she had a good birthday despite having to share treats with her little brother Oliver. She got a new sleepy blanket , treats and her own double-double.
She has also graciously decided to forgive me for not writing this post sooner. Although more treats were needed to persuade her to do so.
Sorry we have been missing this summer but we were very busy! Mr. Oliver is growing like crazy and already outweighs his sister!
Miss Lilly is still not overly excited about having a little brother but she is starting to warm up to him a little bit.
For anyone wondering Miss Lilly is still in charge around here and ordered a new sleepy chair since she has to put up with a little brother all the time.
She still has plenty of attitude also! Oliver is NOT allowed anywhere near her chair!!
But like I said Oliver is trying very hard to win her over . He finally got her to let him walk beside her recently. He was sooooo happy!
