So it’s taken me awhile to write this but on March 19, 2026 we had to say our hardest goodbye yet to Miss Lilly. We got to spend 15 years with her but wish we could have had 15 more.
She was a little spitfire from the second we picked her up and had attitude for days!! She loved to pretend she couldn’t hear us and just continue doing whatever she wanted.
She also loved sticks, Sun puddles and dirty socks!
She was the best big sister to Riley and then Oliver. Oliver is very lost without her, as we are all.
We hope that her and Molly are having a ball catching up and playing like the old days. 💔💔

Oh gosh, I’m so sorry for your loss. ‘Liking’ this post seems all sorts of wrong. Miss Lilly was such a cutie. Sending you and Oliver loads of gentle thoughts of comfort. Rest in peace, Lilly. Hope you’re have a blast with Molly. I’m sure Sam met you at the Rainbow Bridge gates to show you around. 💔

I am so saddened to hear about Miss Lilly. She was such a sweetheart, packed with personality and spirit and love for you. I followed her adventures for years and came to know a little about Bassett Hounds from your tales and beautiful photos of her. (Her senior photo at the top of this post and the side-eye are exceptional and bring back fond memories.) Though I never met her in person, I will miss her and send you all my best wishes and kind thoughts and condolences on your loss. Extra scritches for Oliver, too. ❤ Tom
