Well we had a slow start this year, but eventually Captain Marvel decided it was time to get up…

Not impressed..
So pals mom decided to try a different flea and tick prevention this year, a flea collar, needless to say it didn’t go so well..
So after an emergency vet visit and three different medicines ( an antibiotic, medicated wipes and an ointment) we were back home without the collar.
A few days later I didn’t want to get up and go potty or eat so we had to go see our regular vet. They switched me to a different medicine and within a couple days I was back to my feisty, incredibly adorable, old self except for the bare spot on my chest.
Mom and I are both glad that it is over and I’m feeling better. It was definitely scary so please be sure to check daily if you are wearing a flea collar!
Heat waves…
So this is how I’ve been dealing with the heat waves that keep rolling our way…plenty of naps! Also air conditioning and ice cream help too!

Beautiful day to be outside..
So we decided to go fishing Saturday and enjoy the nice weather. Of course mom couldn’t resist taking some pictures of me!

Just a basset enjoying some quality outdoor time in the sunshine…I have my eye on a pile of deer poop to roll in if mom doesn’t get it first 😉

Someone is a little upset with the groundhog about his whole “early spring” prediction…19 this morning and a few more inches of snow…not ideal Basset weather!
Polar vortex basset style..
How Lilly is coping with the polar vortex….this and two minute potty trips..extra treats seem to be helping too. 😉

It was -3 early this morning and now it’s 5 and there’s still 12 inches of snow on the ground, do I want to go out?
