Too hot to Garden!

livelaughbarkblog 1 Comment

The weather here in the northeast has been unusually hot and muggy with temperatures reaching 80 by 10AM. Now while Miss Lilly is sort of ok with basking in the heat her sister does not share her enthusiasm. She spends most of the time inside right beside the air conditioner, outside in the shade or in her pool. While lying in the shade she does get a lovely view of some of our flowers around the house which have been blooming like crazy thanks to all the rain and heat.

Since it is too hot to do anything else she had me take some pictures of a couple of her favorites from around the house.

Now it is back to the pool to cool down and of course get a nice refreshing drink!! Stay cool everyone!!

So the girls and I have been hard at work taking care of all the flowers lately. We had a few good showers and lots of warm sunny days in between which makes them bloom like crazy! Here are a few pics of some of them.

More lovely pink lillies!

This is a new lilly we planted for this year

For some reason we have a few lovely bunches of pansies that decided to grow in between our patio rocks! Not sure where they came from but we like them.

The girls even talked their little brother into helping out. We all enjoy all of our flowers and spending time together taking care of them. What are some of your favorite pastimes?

Every year I get a new Lilly plant for in the gardens around our house. Now Miss Lilly gets to help pick the color since they are planted for her! This year she choose a lovely peach colored one which her and Molly helped plant!

I tried to get her picture next to them but she was not into it today! Here are some others in bloom that we planted since we started the tradition. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
